Consult Dive International in Kumamoto, Japan

     Consult Dive International is active in southern Japan since the Spring of 2002.
    We help develop NAUI divers education among the foreign expatriate population in the regions of Kumamoto, Fukuoka, Nagasaki and Kagoshima on Kyushu island and we tied up with a very known NAUI facilities chain in southern Japan. All courses are taught in English and / or French. Any local Japanese divers are more than welcome to participate in continuing education courses or beginner classes. An intermediate or upper intermediate level in English or French will be required to attend. All educational materials will be in English or Japanese if needed. An other great opportunity to practice your English!...
     The philosophy behind these services is to allow divers to get started with scuba diving or keep up their education in the local environment.
     Why should you spend 4 days of your hard earned holidays to train in the tropics, as you could do it at your own pace within your familiar environment?...We will train you in Kumamoto region, and then send you diving the stunning Asian's coral reefs.    We believe that this option will maximize your safety, and pleasure while getting you occupied with a great local activity: scuba diving!

     We will propose via a very known NAUI facility in Kumamoto, all the range of scuba diving training, from beginner courses up to Leadership and Instructor Level Courses.
     All level of training will done following NAUI standards of diver education, the safest and most thorough dive training available today.

     Academic and pool portions of the courses will be taught in evenings and week ends and the natural environment training on week ends in different locations such as Ashikita and Ushibuka beaches in nearby Kumamoto. The following program and courses will be available on a regular basis:
     Passport Diver Program (try scuba), Scuba Diver Course (beginner), Advanced Diver Course, Rescue Diver Course, First Aid and CPR course, Oxygen Provider course, Master Scuba Diver course and Specialty Courses such as: underwater navigation, deep diving, underwater photography, underwater environment, night diving, limited visibility diving, training assistant, advanced rescue, please for details of the courses, click here.

     We will also held Leadership courses a few times a year to train further selected divers to help us in our training and also help them to achieve the highest standards of diving leadership the recreational diving industry has to offer.
     The following Leadership courses will be conducted in Kumamoto:
Assistant Instructor, Skin Diving Instructor and Divemaster courses.

      We will also provide VIP private courses upon specific request. All academic portions of the course will be done in private facilities, pool or confined water and open water training sessions will be conducted out of regular classes schedule. This formula allows flexibility, maximum attention and is great for persons with poor water skills and stamina, as the whole training will be custom paced. Please inquire for this private training.
     Children scuba classes and try scuba experiences could be scheduled any time. The child must be 12 years of age at the beginning of the water work. Skin diving courses are available at age 10 are are a great start to the under water environment.

     Consult Dive International will also run a NAUI Instructor Training Course (ITC), twice a year in Kumamoto, this 8 days (or 4 week ends) course will qualify NAUI Leaders to teach safely all range of scuba diving courses up to Leadership levels. 
    One ITC will be run in the spring and one in the fall. The ITCs will be run in English and / or French. Certified NAUI Instructors in active status will be able to further their education as we will offer Staff Training and Instructor Trainer workshops combined with every Instructor level program.
     A complete Pro Package Program, similar to the one we are running at the European Diving Career Institute will be available, except it will not include accommodation. This program trains an experienced Advanced Diver from any recognized agency up to NAUI Instructor level. The candidates must have a minimum of 70 logged dives to join the program and be at least 18 years old. 

     In collaboration with the dive center, social events will happen year round and every  divers and non divers are welcome!
     Week ends will also be the time for pleasure diving and discovery of the very rich underwater marine life of Kumamoto and surroundings.
     Special Under Water environment awareness will be schedule on a regular basis and divers could develop further their knowledge of the local beautiful marine fauna.

     All courses and programs will be run in English, and / or French by NAUI Course Director Frederick Claro, who will put his 20 years of diving experience at the service of the foreign and Japanese community in southern Japan. Frederick "Freddy" has certified well over 1,200 students and 200 instructors in the past decade and is one of the most experienced diving instructor living and still teaching in Asia.
     Freddy is the recipient of the 2000 NAUI pacific rim Outstanding Award and the recipient of the 2002 NAUI worldwide Outstanding Service Award, for NAUI leadership development in Asia.
